Chapter 8 China and the World 11/6/17    The classical era marks as an era for other civilizations that had their own awakening in the enlightenment era. China has a massive a powerful civilization. With many other civilizations next to China, made it easy for other civilization to follow in China's footsteps. Later on, China's soaring economy and technological advances had many affects through out the world. Hey what's up ya'll? It's been a rough two weeks. Midterms are finally over and everything is starting to go back to normal. I have missed a couple of blogs, but I plan to stay on track. For this week, we are chapter 9 Islam. Anyways, lets get down to business! Chapter 9 Islam 10/30/17       Whats the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about Islam. Many people relate Islam to negative connotations from previous attacks. Little do most people know, the Islamic religion is one of the most peaceful religions to ever touch this world.         Islam is a monotheistic religion teaching that there is only one God "Allah," and Muhammad who is the messenger of God. Islam is the second largest religion in the United States and soon to be in the world. The word Islam means "submission and peace". The fundamental purpose of human life is to submit to the will of Allah (God). The word "Muslim" refers to the act of one who submits ...
Hey, whats up guys? It's been a minute since my last post. There's no excuse, I've just been busy with life. The last couple of weeks have been stress, but everything has settled back down. I will be prompt with my future blogs. Chapter 3 Document For this assignment, We were instructed to read a document from the end of Chapter 3. I chose the document Germania. I'm not too sure why I chose this document, maybe unconsciously I chose this particular one because it seemed it was the shortest. Who knows why exactly? (*Giggling in the background) Germania In the beginning, the author explains that the Germans are of a pure breed. In other words, the german blood line is strong. German ancestors did not mix with other races nor did they immigrate or have intercourse with other races. This is interesting to me, because a little over a year ago I did this DNA test. It's called 23 and me, and my whole family did it. I got the results back and I was surprised how mix...
Well, Hello there! How's it going guys? I might have missed the last post, but I plan to make it up by creating a fun interesting post today! Hope y'all are doing well and let's dive right into this. Chapter 3 State and Empire 9/25/17 It's roughly 500 B.C.E and 500 C.E, the second wave of civilizations started to take place in the Mediterranean world. Many civilization did not interfere with another during this time but many were not so lucky. The Persian and Greek empires were located next to each other, therefore sharing many altercations due to territory rights. The Persian empire was one the largest empire ever know to man. Just to put into perspective, Has anyone ever watched the movie 300? If so, do you remember the Persian army that battled the 300 spartans. The Persian army was flipping huge! Anyways the Persian empire had a strong belief in kingship. Monarchs were very well respected by their people and were properly view as highest authority. On the ot...
Hello there! It's been awhile! I hope all of you are doing well. So far my life has been crazy lately. I'm huge in the racing scene and I'm getting prepared for Shift-Sector on Oct 28th. It should be really fun! Don't worry, I'll post some pictures. With all this going on, their still seems room for some girl drama. That's a little too persona to talk about! Anyways, lets get back on track with History. I believe we left off with Neolithic Era. Chapter 2 First Civilizations 9/18/17 One of the best things to ever come into play was the development of agriculture. Agriculture set a path for a new way of life. With more and more people prospering everywhere, civilizations started to arise. Chapter 2 mainly focuses on the development of the first civilizations. The earliest first civilizations ever reordered emerged around 3500 B.C.E to 3000 B.C.E. The first civilization was found to be in the middle east, "Sumerian" descent. If you actually think a...
Well, Hello There! This is my second blog for this class! This has been strange so far because I'm not used to posting my thoughts like this. Anyways this is continuation blog from Ways of the World by Robert W. Stayer and Eric W. Nelson. Hope you Enjoy! Chapter 1 Breakthroughs to Agriculture  9/34/17 Neolithic era started 12,000 years ago, the age of agriculture and breeding of particular animals started to take form. The was a beginning of a whole new era. After hundreds of thousands of years, new technology was slowly starting to replace the system "gather and hunting". The was truly a spark of something great. This transformation will eventually lead the platform for human foundation for almost every. Population will grow, many inventions will rise up and change the way the world works. This was the grandfathered system that created civilizations today as we know it. Through change, the human species started to change the way they think. They started to anal...
Well, Hello There! As you can probably figure out, my name is Julian and I'm taking a World History class. For the following 14 or so weeks I will be reading sections out of Ways of the World by Robert W. Strayer and Eric W. Nelson. Each week I will post my thoughts about a section we are currently reading. Enjoy! Prologue and Chapter 1  8/30/17 Let's start with the Big Picture. Humans have some sort of interpersonal connection with one another when it comes down to storytelling. Storytelling could be as little as a little good night story and as big as a family tradition that is shared though generations. In todays time, we just turn on the television and flip to the History channel if we wanted a quick dose of history. Hundred of thousands of years telling stories amongst others was a form of education of their past and daily occurrences.  Now learning a little background, they're are 5 era's we are learning in this class: Paleolithic, Neolithic, Ancien...
