Hey, whats up guys? It's been a minute since my last post. There's no excuse, I've just been busy with life. The last couple of weeks have been stress, but everything has settled back down. I will be prompt with my future blogs.

Chapter 3 Document

For this assignment, We were instructed to read a document from the end of Chapter 3. I chose the document Germania. I'm not too sure why I chose this document, maybe unconsciously I chose this particular one because it seemed it was the shortest. Who knows why exactly? (*Giggling in the background)

Germania

In the beginning, the author explains that the Germans are of a pure breed. In other words, the german blood line is strong. German ancestors did not mix with other races nor did they immigrate or have intercourse with other races. This is interesting to me, because a little over a year ago I did this DNA test. It's called 23 and me, and my whole family did it. I got the results back and I was surprised how mixed I actually am. This makes me wonder if the german blood line is still pure.

Mercury is one of the Gods that they worshiped. They were very loyal and dedicated they would perform human sacrifices. If you actually think about that, that's really interesting. Most people only think mayans and Aztecs were the only communities that used to perform human sacrifices. It's interesting to me at least. I truly wonder what other early communities performed human sacrifices.

When the germans were not fights, they would be hunting. German had a great sense of connection towards barbaric traditions. When I say barbaric traditions, I mean hunting and etc. On their down time, Germans would eat and enjoy themselves during festivities. Germans would usually wrap themselves in a cloak which was fastened with a clasp or they would be covered with skins from their previous kills. I'm not surprised by this because most aboriginals cloaked themselves with the animals they hunted.

One thing that surprised me was the fact that most of them were content with one wife. It's kind of heart warming to hear that maybe true love does exist. Maybe true love is not the right word to be used to describe this. I think partnership is the correct word. It's nice to read that even though back in the day, partnership was a "thing."
